Male chastity: who is it really serving?

The lock gets all the attention. The more interesting question is what happens to the relationship around it?

In 2024, I asked readers about their experiences of male chastity. The results were revealing. Chastity was commonly practised within female-led relationships, increased service and obedience was the most frequently reported benefit, and physical discomfort was the most common difficulty.

The responses also suggested that women and men did not always approach chastity in quite the same way. Men were often drawn to the fantasy. Women appeared more interested in what the arrangement produced in real life.

That left a question worth asking rather more directly:

Is chastity genuinely serving the woman and the relationship, or is the woman being recruited to manage a male fantasy?

Chastity can give a woman greater authority, more attentive service, greater sexual control and a man who is deliciously conscious of his place. It can deepen intimacy and make the structure of a female-led relationship feel wonderfully real.

It can also give her another arrangement to administer.

Sometimes she gains genuine authority and benefit. She might gain a key, a set of expectations and responsibility for keeping his fantasy alive. Maybe both partners benefit. Sometimes neither does. I want to know what actually happens once the initial excitement settles and chastity becomes part of ordinary life.

The new male chastity survey

This new anonymous survey builds on our 2024 research with a much sharper focus.

It asks:

  • Who first introduced chastity?
  • Which partner wants it most?
  • Are women actively involved?
  • How long are typical periods of chastity?
  • What benefits and difficulties does the man experience?
  • What benefits and burdens does the woman herself identify?
  • Does chastity improve the relationship—or quietly create more work?

The survey contains 15 questions and should take approximately five minutes.

I want to hear from women and men who currently practise chastity or have done so in the past. That includes physical chastity using a device and agreed orgasm control without one.

Women, I want to know what you actually receive from the arrangement.

Men, I want your honest experience too, but when answering about her, please tell me what she has expressed rather than what you hope she feels.

As always, the results and my analysis will be published openly on femaleled.info. Positive, negative, mixed and inconvenient findings will all be included.

The internet already has plenty to say about the fantasy. Let us find out what chastity does to the relationship.
